Obituary for George Sidell Jr.
George E. Sidell Jr. 74, of Washington passed away Thursday April 7, 2011 at Proctor Hospital. He was born March 28, 1937 to George E. and Martha Nelson Sidell Sr. in Pekin, IL. He married Beverly J. Fuller on September 4, 1955 in Pekin. She survives along with his children; Kimberly (Mike) Henricks of Peoria, Russell E. (Connie) Sidell of Farmington, Diane (Robert Fredrickson) Sidell of Clinton, IA, grandchildren; Aaron Sidell, David, Joey, Michael, Sara and Stacey and 8 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his 4 brothers, a chosen daughter; Cindy (David) Sidell and his beloved cat; Peggy Su. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved sister; Joan Seagraves. George served in the Illinois National Guard. He worked in the warehouse at Proctor Hospital for over 20 years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Sand Ridge Community Church. When he became ill, he was embraced by the First Nazarene Church on Meadows Ave in East Peoria where memorial donations may be made in his name. George was a beloved husband and a wonderful father he will be greatly missed. Cremation has been accorded and per his wishes no services will be held.
