George W. Foley, Jr., 82, of Springfield, IL passed away Monday, November 22, 2021.
George was born on March 28, 1939, in Peoria, IL, the son of George W. and Frances R. Cassity Foley.
He grew up in Mapleton, IL and graduated from Timber Township HS and Bradley University in Peoria, IL. He served in U.S. Army from 1962 - 1965.
George worked at Illinois Bell and AT&T for many years. George enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and stock car racing.
He is survived by his daughter, Annette (Kerry) Snyder; son, Jeffrey (Trish) Foley; grandchildren, Kyle (Heather), Becka, and Jake Snyder & Brandi and Jaimes Foley, and two great-grandchildren, Isaac, and Sawyer Snyder.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Kingston Mines Cemetery in Kingston Mines, IL. Friends and family are welcome. Memorial gathering at Hammer's Bar & Grill in Bartonville, IL following.
