Obituary for Gerald C. Heberer
Gerald “Jerry” Charles Heberer, 81, of Pekin passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria. He was born September 11, 1933 in Peoria to Earl John and Vivian Alice Welch Heberer. He married Mary Katherine Blackburn in Midway on April 21, 1956, she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Gerald C. Heberer Jr.; sister, Betty Rakestraw and brother, Earl Willis Heberer. He is survived by his son, Dave (Jody) Heberer of Manito; daughters, Julie (Tim) Lewis of Pekin, Kathy (Donnie) Buckner of Lake Stevens, WA; grandchildren, Jeffrey Willis, Seth (Sam) Heberer, Logan Heberer, North Buckner; brothers, Richard (Jean) Heberer of Pekin, Harold (Pat) Heberer of Lewistown, Lloyd Heberer of Pekin; sister, Shirley Harper of Peoria and several nieces and nephews. Jerry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for Boeing retiring in 1995. He was a Cardinal fan and loved fishing, but most of all he loved his family. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held Friday, May 29, 2015 at Super Sports in South Pekin from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
