Obituary for Glen Nelson
Glen E. “Ozzie” Nelson 91, of Pekin passed away Monday November 15, 2010 at Pekin Hospital. He was born February 4, 1919 in Blandinsville, IL to Jess and Blanche Hamm Nelson. He married Mildred Stacy December 1, 1945 in Peoria. She preceded him in death on April 30, 1996. He is also preceded in death by his parents, son; Richard Nelson and brother; Lee Nelson. He is survived by his son; Donald W. (Sandra) Nelson of Pekin, daughters; Marsha A. (Dennis) Morris of Groveland, Sharon K. (David) Moore of Pekin, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Glen served in the US Army and was a truck driver for Growmark retiring in 1980. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and mushroom hunting. Glen never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Burial of Cremains will be held at a later date in Plymouth, IL.
