Obituary for Guy Evans
Guy H. Evans, 84, of Peoria passed away at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 1, 2011, at his home. Guy was born on September 17, 1927 in Dayton, Ohio to Paul and Ruth Evans. He married Marilyn Notzke. She preceded him in death in 1986. He was also preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bob and Ernest Evans, and a step daughter, Christine Ashburn. He then married Ann Haddick. She survives along with his sons, Paul of Pekin, Robert & Ernest of Moline. He is also survived by stepsons, David Haddick of Arizona and Eric Haddick of Oregon; 2 granddaughters, Laura Ramey and Renea Weaver; grandson, August Haddick and three great-grandchildren. He graduated from High School in Celina, Ohio in 1946 and then attended Bradley University School of Horology. He worked in the engineering department of Caterpillar as an engineer checker retiring in 1982. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Morton. Cremation has been accorded. There will be no visitation. Graveside service will be held at the Brimfield Cemetery on Saturday October 8, 2011 at 3 p.m. with Pastors Mike Claver and Penny Frame officiating. Memorials may be made to his church.
