Obituary for Harry H. Bowen
Harry H. Bowen 91, of Pekin passed away on Tuesday November 11, 2008 at Pekin Hospital. He was born on April 21, 1917 to Vira and Harry F. Bowen in Peoria Co. He grew up with his grandparents, Joseph and Eliza Clancy in Pottstown. He married Jane Hermann on January 27, 1938. Their children are Bruce (Eva Eagle) Bowen of Sisters Oregon, Keith Bowen of Peoria and Lynne Bowen-Lowe of Louisville Kentucky. He also leaves behind a family friend Meridel Bowen of Pekin. An infant daughter and his brother preceded him in death. He served in the Army and was in a combat engineer unit during WWII. He is a professional Engineer, and a commercial Pilot and an amateur radio operator with call ke9ge. Cremation has been accorded and per his wishes no services will be held.
