Obituary for Helen Sandman
Helen Webb Sandman of Peoria Illinois; died on Monday March 9th 2015 at Buehler Home in Peoria. A memorial service will be held at United Presbyterian Church 2400 W. Northmoor Rd. Peoria on Saturday March 14th. The service will begin at 11am with a visitation starting at 10. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Helen's name to United Presbyterian Church Peoria. Helen was born on June 16th 1927 to Marion and Irene (Tindall) Romine. Her sister Carol Dietsche and parents preceded her in death. She married George E. Webb on June 9, 1947, and had 4 children, Cathy Webb Ahart of Bloomington, Becky Webb of Bloomington, Mark (Jeri) Webb of Chicago, and Debby Webb who also preceded her in death. She has 2 grandchildren: Jim (Carissa) Ahart of Normal and Melissa Sears of Normal. She also has 3 great grandsons, and 1 great great grandson. She was a graduate of Woodruff high school in Peoria, and a graduate of McCormick Seminary in Chicago where she received her Doctorate in Divinity. Her ordination happened on June 29th, 1975 by the United Presbyterian Church of the United States of America. Helen loved spending time with her friends, and was very proud of her family. She also loved to share pictures and stories of her numerous travels. Helen's family would like to thank the Dr.'s and hard working staff at Buehler Home in Peoria.
