Helen Virginia Silver, 94, of Morton passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton. She was born November 2, 1919 in Decatur to Ira Elmer and Helen Virginia Gandy Swift. She married Harry Verne Silver March 5, 1939 he preceded her in death April 15, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Wesley Swift, Buddy Swift and one child, Susan Dale Silver. She is survived by her sisters, Jeanette Croghan of Brea, CA, Alice Bailey of Glendale, AZ; daughters, Sharon Grawe of Morton, IL, Trish Hall of Morton, IL, Melanie Silver of Morton, IL, Melissa Silver of Goddard, KS; grandchildren, Angie Hanson of Morton, IL, Jacob Atkins of Wichita, KS and great-grandchildren, Amy Hanson of Morton, IL, Eric Hanson of Morton, IL and Elijah Atkins of Wichita, KS. Helen was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Morton. She was married for 65 years to the love of her life. They raised four daughters to be respectful, honest, loving and to live life to its fullest. Cremation has been accorded and per her wishes no services will be held.
