Obituary for Herbert Frickleton
Herbert H. Frickleton, 72, of Creve Coeur passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born October 30, 1942 in Peoria to Herbert A. and Edna M. Demmin Frickleton. He married Shirley Henderson April 29, 1962 at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, LA. She survives, he is also survived by his children, Shawn Frickleton of Texas, Kelly Frickleton of Illinois, Scott (Amy) Frickleton of Illinois; grandchildren, Kirstin Frickleton of Illinois, Shelby Shaw of Illinois, Austin Frickleton of Wisconsin, Addisin Frickleton of Illinois, Ayden Frickleton of Illinois and Ali Frickleton of Illinois; sisters, Edna Mae Dibler of Illinois, Janet (Leonard) Ealey of Illinois, Emma Bitner of Illinois, Judi (Russ) Stone of Illinois; brother-in-law, Henry (Joyce) Henderson of Missouri; several nieces and nephews and aunt, Lois Demmin of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents. Herbert graduated from East Peoria Community High School in 1960. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Caterpillar, retiring in April 2004. He designed and painted the scenery for his daughters dance recitals and attended all the games and recitals for his children and grandchildren. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at Richwoods Christian Church 2221 N. Parkway Drive in Pekin. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society in his name.
