Obituary for James H. Brown
James H. Brown, 85 of East Peoria passed away on Monday February 16, 2009 at his residence. Born in Salem on April 23, 1923 to Arthur and Jessie Mercer Brown. He married Mary Drenth Baker in East Peoria on June 16, 1979, she preceded him in death on March 28, 2005. He is also preceded by his sister, his brother, son James and daughter Evelyn. James is survived by his son Jeff Brown, step-daughter Patricia Spring of Washington and his 2 grand and 3 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his caregiver Teresa Bejjouri of East Peoria. He served in the Army during WWII and worked as a Heat Treat Operator at Wabco, retiring in 1985. James enjoyed spending time with his buddies having coffee at Newell’s Restaurant in East Peoria. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
