Obituary for James (Jim) Cunningham
James A. (Jim) Cunningham, 60, of Peoria Heights passed away August 5, 2014 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria surrounded by his family. He was born February 19, 1954 to Joyce (Blackburn) Oesch and Delmar Cunningham. He was preceded in death by both his parents. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Janice Cunningham of East Peoria; brother, Terry Cunningham of Washington; his maternal aunt, Jean Lindsey; step-parents, Donna Cunningham and Richard Oesch as well as numerous relatives who all will miss his sense of adventure and skill with a paint brush in his hand. He worked as a painter for 35 years and was an all-conference football player at East Peoria High School in 1971-1972. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and always had his bird dogs, Rusty and Cain at his side, whether at work or play. At his request there will be no visitation or memorial services. Memorial contributions can be made to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home at 8630 N. Illinois Route 91, Peoria, IL 61615.
