Obituary for James Murphy
James Allen Murphy, 66, of Peoria passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 at his residence. He was born April 23, 1950 in Peoria to Edward and Betty Julien Murphy. He married Irene Doering-Stephens April 28, 1976 in Peoria County; she survives. He is also survived by his children, James, Ed, Barbara, Laura, Jennifer, Teresa; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren brothers, Edward, Bill and sister, Sharon. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mike Murphy. James served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a Maintenance Engineer. He was a member of the Hanna City Sportsman’s Club. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to the Sportsman’s Club or Disabled Veterans in his name.
