Obituary for James Ogborn Sr.
James L. Ogborn Sr. 71 of Cocoa, FL formerly of East Peoria, IL passed away Wednesday July 27, 2011 in Mackinaw, IL. He was born February 5, 1940 in Peoria, IL to Elmer and Wilma Kelso Ogborn. He married Collean Sue Leivdal in Springfield, IL on October 17, 1969. She survives along with his children; James L. (Kathryn) Ogborn Jr. of Williamsburg, VA, Robert E. Boes Jr. of Cocoa, FL, Kevin W. (Lori) Ogborn of Galesburg, IL, Richard L. (Jama) Boes of Mercer, WI, Dawn M. (Joe) Moore of Mackinaw, IL, Phyllis L. (John) Jacobs of Peoria, IL, Phillip L. Ogborn of Chillicothe, IL, Brenda S. (Robert Petrie) Morris of Cocoa, FL, Scott C. Ogborn of Titusville, FL, 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother; Edward Ogborn of Florida, sister; Janet Warden of Georgia and his best friend Rocky his Golden Retriever. He was preceded in death by his mother; Wilma Barlow, father; Elmer Ogborn and great-granddaughter; Skyla J. Mahony. James worked for Caterpillar for 21 years and owned and operated Road Runner Vending in Cocoa, FL since 1982. He loved hunting, fishing, NASCAR, working on his truck and going to his man cave (garage) sitting with his best friend Rocky and other friends and family. He also loved to travel with his wife which included traveling to 48 states. Cremation has been accorded and a Memorial Service will be held Friday July 29, 2011 at Mackinaw United Methodist Church in Mackinaw, IL at 7 pm. Rev Joy Schlesselman will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Illinois Cancer Care Foundation in Peoria, IL.
