Obituary for James Peacock
James G. Peacock, 83, long time resident of Peoria passed away on March 6, 2016. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Karen (nee Marose) married for 56 years. Proud father of John (Kathleen), Paul, Julie (the late Gibby) and fond brother in law of Sue (Robert) Bollacker. Preceded in death by his parents, George and Harriet (nee Hopkinson). Jim was proud of his grandchildren, Grayson, Ross, Zach; nieces, Kathy, Sandra and nephew, Robert Jr. Jim’s legacy began in Chicago where he spent his childhood and young adult years. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Architecture. Jim’s passion was baseball and was an avid fan of the White Sox. Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 26th at the First United Methodist Church of Peoria. A Celebration of Life will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to First United Methodist Church of Peoria, UnityPoint Methodist Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association.
