Obituary for Jan Reid Ing
Jan Reid Ing, 75, of Pekin, passed away on Friday, January 29th, 2021 peacefully in his sleep at Timbercreek Rehab and Healthcare in Pekin.
Jan was born in Pekin, IL on January 20th, 1946 to Paul and Bernadine (Sturm) Ing.
Jan was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Nancy (Ing) Shoultz and brothers, Paul Ing Jr. and Stan Ing.
Jan is survived by his brother, Steven (Laura Basehoar) Ing. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
After Jan graduated high school, he was drafted into the Army and served during the Vietnam War. He then went to work for Caterpillar as a laborer, retiring in 1994. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin.
Jan's Greatest joy was spending time with family, visiting shut ins, his faith in God and going for car rides.
Cremation has been accorded and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
