Obituary for Janet Ferguson
Janet L. Ferguson, 68, of East Peoria passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born May 16, 1946 in Peoria to Jesse and Ruth Arkles Cox. She married Gene Ferguson August 22, 1992 in East Peoria. She is survived by her husband, Gene who was a loving and devoted caregiver. She is also survived by her daughter, Amber (David) Larsen of Elmwood; sons, Ron Snare of East Peoria, Ralph (Janice) Bill, Jr. of Peoria; step sons, Richard Ferguson of Peoria, Garrot Ferguson of Peoria, Randall Guerrero of Peoria; grandchildren, Holly (Robert) Pudney of Creve Coeur, Chelsea (Mat) Bennett of Odessa, TX, Nicole Small of East Peoria, Kayla (Janell) Snare of Creve Coeur, Jessica Snare of East Peoria, Cheyenne Snare of East Peoria, Emma Snare of East Peoria; great-granddaughter, Madison Pudney of Creve Coeur; siblings, Kathleen Fischer of East Peoria, Jeannie Goetz of East Peoria, Susan Kerschner of Manito, David Cox, Karen (Larry) Patterson of Pekin, Wendy (Mike) Wernsman of Pekin, Forrest (Jan) Miles Jr. of Pontiac, Michael (Jennifer) Miles of Pekin and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Lee Snare, Jr. and step daughter, Terry Guerrero. Janet worked as a Dietary Supervisor in local nursing homes for many years. She loved camping, fishing, working in her garden and most of all her family. She was a devoted member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness 4101 E. Washington road, East Peoria, IL 61611 where a service will be held Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 5 p.m. Elder Dennis Patterson will officiate. Cremation has been accorded. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation in her name.
