Obituary for Janice (Janup) Cheneler
Janice (Janup) L. Cheneler, age 80, of Pekin, Ill. Passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at 8:30 am at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Born July 16, 1933 in Rankin, Ill. She married Lee Cheneler in 1974 and is survived by him and four sons and two step sons. She was preceded in death by two step sons, Ronald Cheneler of Yalee, Florida and Joseph Cheneler of Peoria, Ill. She is survived by sons: Kelly Vansaghi of Littleton, Colorado; Anthony Vansaghi of South Pekin; Gregory Vansaghi of San Antonio, Texas and Randall Vansaghi of Pekin,Ill with whom she lived. She is also survived by two stepsons: John Cheneler of Colleyville, Texas and Alphonse Cheneler of Tallahassee, Florida. She is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Janice was employed as a Real Estate Abstractor clearing titles for Court Houses, Attorneys and Real Estate Firms. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish of Pekin, Ill. and was a Catholic Eucharistic Minister and Assistant Music Director of Resurrection Parish in Winter Garden, Florida and was a champion bowler and line dancer. Cremation has been accorded and a Chapel service will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate.
