Obituary for Jeanette Knollenberg
Jeanette Knollenberg, 91, of Metamora, IL passed away at 10:20 p.m. on Thursday May 17, 2012 at Snyder Village in Metamora, IL. She was born July 28, 1920 in New Holland, IL to Monroe and Florence Sheary Jones. She married Alvin Knollenberg on May 18, 1939. He preceded her in death July 27, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother. She is survived by her brother, Bill Jones of Bath, IL; four daughters, Carol Sloan (Jim, deceased) of Lincoln, IL, Janet Kavelman (Lynn) of Germantown Hills, IL, Mary Ann Bockman (Howard) of Buchanan, TN, Joy Spurgeon (Tom) of Peoria Heights, IL; son, Alan Knollenberg (Sue) of Hanna City, IL; twelve grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. Following her husband’s retirement they moved to Florida where they lived for nearly 28 years. They moved back to Illinois in November 2005. Cremation rites were accorded and the family will have a private memorial service. Memorials may be made to Snyder Village 1200 E. Partridge Street, Metamora, IL 61548 in her name.
