Obituary for Jeanne Weber Hoover
Jeanne Hoover, age 72, died Friday February 15, at the home of her daughter after a long battle with cancer. She was born in South Bend, IN on January 13, 1936, to Pierre Laure and Otta Emmons. She married Howard K Weber in 1959, He died in 1976. She married David Hoover in 1998; he who preceded her in death in 2001; also her brother, William Laure in 1988. She is survived by daughters, Linda (Doc) Evans-Watson of Peoria, IL, Janet (Rod) Ely of Reading, MI, Ginny (Bruce) Brubaker of Toledo, OH and son, Rick Weber of Toledo, OH, her grandchildren, Erik, Brandon, (Chelsea), and Lauren Evans, Stephanie, Alexander, Mackenzie, and Dominick Ely, Mandy (Steve) Mitchell, Matt and Nate Brubaker, sister-in-law, Elizabeth Laure, many nieces and nephews. She was expecting her first great grandchild in July. Her various career positions included, owning a newspaper in Reading, MI, owning The Hobby Basket in Fremont, IN, managing apartment complexes in Ohio, bookkeeping for Kiedan's Jewelers in Toledo, OH and job coaching for CWTC in Peoria, IL. She received her Business Degree from Ypsilanti, MI. She was very involved with her family which was always a main focus in her life. She was always there for every one of them; teaching them many different things that she had learned from all her adventures in life. She enjoyed being involved in their families lives. She will always be loved and missed very much. Donations can be made to the Community Workshop and Training Center (Peoria County), Methodist Hospice, or Pets for Seniors. She has donated her body to the Anatomical Gift Society. Private services were held. There will be a Celebration of Life Service held at a later date. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.

You were always the one we could all lean on. Even though it must have felt like a ton. You were always the strength of ou family. Now we must let you rest calmly. As we say goodbye, as tears roll down our eyes. I know your place in heaven has a good view. Because you're tellin God, I need to keep an eye on a few. I know you will always be in our hearts and mind. So Grandma, I must go, but I'll never forget you're one of a kind.
