Obituary for Jeffrey D. Greenhalgh
Jeffrey D. Greenhalgh, 56, of Pekin passed away Thursday, December 7, 2023, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born November 10, 1967, in Pekin to Charles Edward and Vera M. Rakestraw Greenhalgh. His father and brother, Gregory Greenhalgh preceded him in death.
He married Cathy Ordonez on April 28, 2012, in Las Vegas; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Alicia, Athena, Dean; mother, Vera Atkinson; mother-in-law, Rose Patterson; father-in-law, Domingo Ordonez; siblings, Michael (Barbara) Greenhalgh, Anthony Greenhalgh; in-laws, Erwin (Shiela) Ordonez, June (Josephine) Ordonez, Cherry (Miguel) Ordonez and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jeffrey worked for Liberty Steel & Wire for 33 years, retiring in September 2023.
He loved his wife and his children very much. He enjoyed camping, swimming, movie nights and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023, with visitation from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
