Obituary for Jimmie Scott
Jimmie “Steve” Scott 77, of Pekin passed away at 10:15am Sunday May 29, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. He was born November 9, 1933 in Kevil, KY to Jamie and Mary L. (Kuykendall) Scott. He married his best friend and love of his life Betty I. Erps on October 18, 1957 in Pekin. She preceded him in death November 9, 2002. Also preceding him in death a sister Alice “Kay” Butterfield. Surviving are two daughters Kim Scott and Lori Hall of Pekin. One Grandson and his pride and joy Justin (Jessica) Hall of Pekin. Two great grandchildren Paige Hall and Zaine Hall of Pekin. One brother Bobby (Betty) Scott. One sister June (Jon) Bell. One special cousin Caroline Hofer of Florida. His beloved dog Diego and “adopted granddaughter” Beth. He retired from BNSF Railroad February 20, 1996 after 39 years of service. He served in the USAF from 1952-1956. He was a member of the Eagles and the Amvets in Pekin. Cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
