Obituary for Joan Giegerich
Joan M. Giegerich, age 75, of Morton, IL formerly of Crown Point, IN passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Beloved mother of Kimberly (William Jr.) Roessler and Troy Giegerich (Kate Barnes). Loving Nana to Kate & Erin Roessler and Alexis & Emmaley Barnes. Cherished sister of Kathleen (Roger) Anderson and Alma (Ralph) Heintz. Treasured aunt and confidant to niece, Dana (nee Heintz) Surd. Endeared aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Giegerich. A celebration of life will be held at Morton Christian Church, 1001 S. 4th St. Morton, IL 61550 on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. Friends may visit with the family from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Monday at the church. Joan worked as an executive secretary and retired from Xerox Inc. She was an avid gardener and antique dealer. Flowers and memorials can be sent to Morton Christian Church.
