Obituary for John Palladini
John F. Palladini, 71, of Bartonville, Illinois died at 12:30 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Born November 5, 1941 in Peoria, Illinois to Edward C. and Ruth M. Angel Palladini, he married Ellen A. Huber on July 28, 2003 in Lacon, Illinois (she survives). Also surviving are three daughters, Deanna (and Chris) Osborne of Chillicothe, Illinois, Lorrie (and Richard) Wu of Dunlap, Illinois, Jessica (James) Andersen of Indianapolis, Indiana; one son Edward Palladini of Tampa, Florida; nine grandchildren; one brother, Frank J. Palladini of Tampa, Florida and one sister, Rita M. (and Lowell) Searcy of Hopedale, Illinois. He attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bartonville, Illinois. A graduate of Illinois Central College, he also attended Bradley University and the University of Illinois at Urbana. He worked at Ameren/Cilco for thirty-six years retiring January 1, 1996 as supervisor of customer service. He was a former coach of youth baseball, one of the original founding fathers of the former Spalding/Academy of Our Lady Alumni and Boosters Club. He also served for several years as secretary of the Bartonville Lions Club. An avid sports enthusiast, he followed Notre Dame Football and Los Angeles Dodger Baseball all his life. His tissue/organs have been donated to Gift of Hope. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at his church Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at the church for family and friends. The Reverend David Heinz will officiate. Memorials should be made to his church.
