Obituary for Joseph Skelly
Joseph Stephen Skelly, 86, of Peoria passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Manor Court in Peoria. He was born September 16, 1926 to Joseph and Stella Blank Skelly. He married Marilyn Wilson in Peoria in 1956. She survives along with his children, Jeffrey of The Woodlands, TX, Brian of Pine Hurst, NC and grandchildren, Courtney, Kaitlin and Megan. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gertrude Waters and brother-in-law, John Waters. Joseph served in the U.S. Navy as Torpedo Man 1st Class during WWII and the Korean War. He worked for Caterpillar retiring in 1973. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. The family would like to thank the staff at Manor Court for their wonderful care and concern given to Joe and his family.
