Obituary for Josephine Coburn
Josephine E. Coburn, 89, of San Jose died September 1, 2014 at 11:07 a.m. at The Heights Health Care Center in Peoria Heights. She was born March 18, 1925 in Mason County to William and Alma Nehmelman Schvering. She married R.L. Coburn September 26, 1953, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Marguerite Hahn and Frannie Sarnes. Surviving is one son, Brent of Peoria; one granddaughter, Melanie (Anthony) Lane of Pekin; one great-granddaughter, Izabella Lane of Pekin; one sister, Rosie Pepmeyer of Easton and five nephews and nieces, Bill Pepmeyer of Easton, Vickie Stafford of Bloomington/Normal, Dennis Hahn of Bath, Cheryl Hahn of Bath and Crystal Felles of Peoria Heights. Josephine worked as a waitress and in a department store pre WWII. Cremation has been accorded and a graveside service will be held in Green Hill Cemetery in San Jose, Monday, September 8, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. Rev. Brian Layzman will officiate. Brent would like to give a special thanks to the family, friends, neighbors and coworkers for all their support and help over the last few years.
