Obituary for Joy Lynn Barnes
Joy Lynn Barnes, 57, of Pekin passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at her residence.
She was born February 17, 1964 in Pekin to Kenneth and Patricia Wieburg Selby.
She is survived by her parents; children, Jessica Corder, Michelle Barnes, Kylie Barnes; grandchildren, Jocelyn, Kohl, Maddie, Kahdyn, Kameron, Gracie, Karson, Estrella, Maelynn, Valentina, Isabelle and sister, Brenda (Randal) Kemper.
She was preceded in death by her children’s father, Robert Barnes.
Joy graduated from Pekin Community High School in 1982. She worked at Walmart from 1982 to 2013. She loved gardening, drawing, tinkering with things, DIY projects, Astrology and coin collecting.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin. Cremation will be accorded following the service.
