Obituary for Judith Peplow
Judith “Judy” Peplow, 69, of Peoria passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 6:20 p.m. at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born on June 19, 1946 to Joseph and Viola (Turner) Raehn. Both her parents predeceased her. She graduated from Washington IL High School and attended Illinois State University, studying art. She married Gary M. Peplow June 22, 1974; he survives. They began their married life together in Springfield, IL. In Springfield, Judy was a member of the Springfield Garden Club and Springfield Questors. Judy enjoyed antiques, art, music, needlework and gardening. She loved to travel and she and Gary traveled the world together. In 1985 she and Gary returned to Peoria and built their home in the woods in Colony Point. When Gary retired in 1999 they bought their log cottage at Oak Run where they spent part of their time with many happy days on the lake and in her flower garden. In 2013 she and Gary moved to Lutheran Hillside Village to enjoy a more quiet lifestyle. Memorial contributions can be made to Bradley University for the Judy Raehn Peplow Memorial Scholarship for Music. A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation has been accorded.
