Obituary for June Rose Rader
June Rose Rader 88 of 1320 Executive Drive Pekin, and for many years a resident of 1403 Sheridan Road passed away at Pekin Hospital at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008. She was born in the Bronx in New York City on June 13, 1920, the daughter of William and May Woodhouse Thomas. She married William Rader in Ava, Missouri on November 26, 1962. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1973. She is survived by a niece, June Dean of Florida, a nephew, Al Collier of Texas, and long time friend, Shelli Stroemer of Groveland. She was retired from the American Distilling Company where she had worked for 32 years. During WWII she worked for Gruman Aircraft Company in New York as an Assembler of aircraft components. June was a member of the Mennonite Church in Pekin where she substituted as church organist on occasion. Arrangements are being planned according to her wishes by Abts Mortuary with inurnment at a later date. There will be no services or visitation. Memorials may be submitted to a charity of the donor’s choice.
