Kathryn A. Cottingham, 93, of Pekin, IL passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021 at her residence.
She was born December 11, 1927 in Tamalco, IL to George and Anna Mogga Hartnett.
She married Woodrow Cottingham July 1, 1946 in Carrolton, IL; he preceded her in death August 16, 1986. Her parents; brother, Robert Hartnett and grandson, Alan Matheny also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Bernice Hartman, Raymond (Walter Ogle) Cottingham, Lora (William) Craig, Roy Cottingham; grandchildren, Ryan Craig, Jason Craig, Nathan (fiancée, Jenny Measheaw) Craig, John Matheny, Anita (Kris Crotz) Matheny, Joanna Matheny; five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Kathryn graduated from Pekin Community High School. She was a longtime member of 1st Assembly of God Church in Pekin where she was a longtime Sunday School Secretary, Missionette Leader and former officer and member of Assembly of God Women’s Ministries. She also attended Pekin Lighthouse Church of God. Kathryn was a former member of Home Extension and she enjoyed sewing and baking.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin. Pastor Rick Hill will officiate.
Memorials may be made to Pekin Boys & Girls Club or Pekin YWCA in her name.
