Obituary for Kathryn "Katy" Rinaldo Closen
Kathryn "Katy" Rinaldo Closen, 95, of Pekin passed at 10:32 pm Friday in Hallmark Nursing
Center in Pekin.
She was born July 4, 1921 in Mapleton to John and Tranquila Rinaldo.
Katy graduated from Canton High School in 1940, worked at CAT Morton Parts for 35 years retiring in
April, 1986 and was of Catholic faith.
She married William "Bill" Closen in Peoria on February 26, 1953. He died June 19, 1980.
Surviving is her stepfamily, The Guidotti's, Arvella, Scott, Derek and Julie, Troy and Brooke and her great-
grandchildren, Olivia Rose and Mario Darrell Joseph.
Her 2 best buddies were son-in-law Spike Guidotti and pet cat and constant companion Rocco.
Preceding her in death are her parents, brothers John of Mapleton and Gene of Chicago and son-in-law
Spike.
She loved her family, her pets, her wonderful neighbors Bill, Linda and Heidi Rajsky, singer Rickey
Martin, decorating outdoors for the holidays and nickel slot machines.
Katy will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. Rest in peace, Nani.
