Obituary for Kenneth Sheckler
Kenneth “Fuzz” Dale Sheckler, 73, of Marquette Heights passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at his home. He was born in Hanna City on July 16, 1939 to Kenneth Everett and Pauline Ellen Henning Sheckler. Kenneth married Ketra Aileen Brackett in Hanna City on June 15, 1957, she survives. Also surviving are his children, Kirk Dale Sheckler of Peoria, Keli Evonne Sheckler-Scotti of East Peoria, Kelle Rene Hack of Marquette Heights; sisters, Carolyn Alice Sheckler of Bradenton, FL, Linda Kay Satterfield of Hanna City and his seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His parents; brother, John Frederick Sheckler and sister, Mary Jeanette Campbell preceded him in death. He worked as the Merchandise Manager for S & S Builders Hardware, retiring in January of 1999. He was a member of Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of Illinois, Lancaster Lodge # 106, an avid fisherman, master gardener and St. Louis Cardinal Fan. He was a previous member of the Hanna City Sportsman’s Club where a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Illinois Cancer Center.
