Obituary for Larry Green
Larry A. Green, 74, of Peoria died at 8:02 p.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Peoria. Born October 16, 1939, in Peoria to David W. Green and Maurine H. Miller, he married Janis F. Darr on April 8, 1960, in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Jim (Lori) of Marshall, IL; two grandchildren, Nicholas (Heather) and Mallori Green of Marshall, IL and brother, Edward D. (Annette) Green of Mapleton, IL. He was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia A. Messer and son, Steven B. Green. Larry graduated from Dunlap High School in 1957. He had worked out of Steamfitters Local 353 for 30 years. He also operated a small business. He was a loving Husband and Father who enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. Cremation has been accorded and there will be no visitation. Burial of his cremains will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life. Pastor Stephen Barnes will officiate. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
