Obituary for Laverne Bush
Laverne Bush 92, of Pekin passed away on Monday August 1, 2011 at Pekin Manor. She was born in Thompson, MO to John and Mayme Ravenscraft Atkins on October 22, 1918. She married Harold Bush in Peoria on August 22, 1936, he preceded her in death on August 30, 1992. She is also preceded by her 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Laverne is survived by her children; Carolyn Abel of Trivoli, Donna (Phillip) Newport of Bartonville, Harold (Margaret) Bush Jr. of Chillicothe, Kathy (David) Blume of Pekin, Charles (Colleen) Bush of Eureka, Karen(Al) Martos of Morton and her several grand and great-grandchildren. She was a Homemaker and a member of Bradley Epworth United Methodist Church in Peoria. Laverne’s funeral service will be held at Abts Mortuary on Thursday August 4, at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service also at the Mortuary. Pastor Gene Colthurst will officiate. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made in her name to T.A.P.S.
