Obituary for Lawrence "Doug" Reames Sr.
Lawrence “Doug” Reames Sr. 69, of Peoria passed away Friday September 2, 2011 at his residence. He was born August 18, 1942 in Gorham, IL to Charles and Iva Gregerson Reames. He was married to Lois Freeman Weinstein and later married Wendy S. Hodge December 4, 1978 in Washington, IL. She survives along with his children, Tammy (Russell) Wolf of Bartonville, Robin (David) Maynard of Peoria Heights, Larry Reames Jr. of Peoria and Rebecca (Michael) Batdorf of Midwest City, OK. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers. Doug served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for ADT in Security Maintenance. Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday September 18, 2011 at the Eagles, 1704 East Lane, Peoria, IL from 1 pm to 4 pm. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
