Obituary for Lee Ann Vogel
Lee Ann Vogel, 78, of Pekin passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Hallmark House in Pekin. She was born January 9, 1940 in Beardstown to William and Betty Smith Lemon. She married Lester E. Vogel August 28, 1959 in Pekin; he preceded her in death May 13, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Betty Schmidt, Tracey Vogel and brother, William “Butch” Lemon. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Herbert) Copeland of Pekin; grandchildren, Jason E. (Carrie) Vogel of Pekin, Jamie Sarnes of Pekin, Matthew Fryman of Pekin, Kristen Schmidt of Peoria; great-grandchildren, Keign Follis, Addyson Sarnes, Zoe Vogel, Vance Vogel; nieces, Pam Bee, Ashly Hook; nephew, Troy Lemon and several great nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin where a funeral mass will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior at the church. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or American Cancer Society in her name.
