Obituary for Leonard Van Pelt
Leonard Ross Van Pelt, 54, of Peoria passed Monday, July 11, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 21, 1962 in Peoria to Hal Richard and Marguerite Ann Lindberg Van Pelt. His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Sara Van Pelt of Portland, OR, Amy Van Pelt of East Boston, MA; brothers, Rick Van Pelt of Chicago, Bob Van Pelt of Peoria; sisters, Mary Ann Van Pelt of Peoria, Christina (Larry) Van Pelt of Chicago, Sandy Ross of Pekin, Michelle (Gavin) Godfrey of Farmington and numerous nieces and nephews. Leonard was a self employed flooring installer for 36 years. He was a dedicated Bears and Cardinals fan. He was an artist and musician and loved nature and animals. Cremation has been accorded and private family services will be held. Memorials may be made to MHA (Mental Health America) giftoffice@mentalhealthamerica.net in his name.
