Obituary for Linda Dries
Linda M. Dries, 72, of Peoria passed away at 11:38 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb 18, 2015, at her residence surrounded by family. Linda was born Apr 29, 1942, in Peoria, IL, to Ralph and Emma Rindfleisch. She Married George W. Dries on Jul 9, 1963. She is survived by her five children, Jeff (Vickie) Dries, Louella Murray, George Dries, Christina Dries, and Larry (Monica) Dries; her sisters, Beverly Walker, Delores Dudley, Phyllis Kerkhove, Gloria VanDyke, and Bonnie (Thomas) Smithee; her brothers, Jerry (Linda) Rindfleisch, and Ralph (Georganna) Rindfleisch. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Dries; son Leslie (Lester) Dries; three sisters and 4 brothers. Linda was a “tell it how it is” kind hearted woman who always had others best interest at heart. In her prime, she enjoyed bowling and playing cards. Later in life, she became an avid tennis fan and loved to work puzzles. Linda retired from L.R. Nelson after 16 years of dedicated service. Cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held at the Club Phoenix in Bartonville beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb 28, 2015. Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Assoc. or a charity of your choice.
