Obituary for Lloyd Carter
Lloyd D. Carter, 80, of Peoria Heights passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Heights Healthcare Center in Peoria Heights. He was born February 20, 1935 in Carson Township, IL to Ivan and Georgia Danielson Carter. He married Judith F., she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents and sister, June Sauder. He is survived by his children, Linda (Ralph) Turner of Moline, Thomas (Peg) Carter of Gurnee, James (Sherryl) Carter of Peoria Heights, Karen (John) Snider of Mardella Springs, MD, Nicole Burnett of Wisconsin, Michele (Karl) McKenzie of Bayview Gardens; Melissa Carter of Bayview Gardens; step-son, Scott (LaVawn) Kellogg of Peoria; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Boise; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Judy A. Bill. Lloyd worked for Kieffer Electric Co. He loved to fish in Canada and tinker with lawn garden tractors. Everyone who met him, loved him, he was a sweet man. Cremation has been accorded and a graveside service will be held Friday, May 15, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
