Obituary for Lucia Baysinger
Lucia Baysinger, 90, of Pekin, IL passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Reflections in Washington, IL. She was born November 6, 1925 in Sala, Caserta, Italy to Tommaso and Domenica Capasso Sanguedolce. She came to live in the United States following WWII. She married James Baysinger July 2, 1949 in Green Valley, IL; he survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Sonya Baysinger of Chicago, IL; sons, Roger (Julie) Baysinger of Deer Creek, IL, Oliver Baysinger of Portage, WI; grandsons, Steven Baysinger of Paducah, KY, Timothy Baysinger of Bloomington, IL; sisters, Tina (August) Gingotti of Pekin, IL, Maria (Domenico) Iannucci of Pekin, IL, Rita Burgener of Pekin, IL; brother, Michael (Antonietta) Sanguedolce of Springfield, IL; sister-in-law, Diane Sanguedolce of Minnesota and 14 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lena Fusari, Anna Sanguedolce and brother, Gianni Sanguedolce. Lucia was of the Catholic Faith. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Abts Mortuary in Pekin at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior at the funeral home. Father Scott Potthoff will officiate. Private burial will be held at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin.
