Obituary for Lucille Deatherage
Lucille H. Deatherage, 84, of Peoria passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at her residence. She was born July 2, 1928 in Hammond, IN to Paul and Hazel Wise Rosenau. In 1955 she married Henry C. Deatherage in Hammond, IN he preceded her in death February 3, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Shirley George. She is survived by her daughters, Diana Pearson, Connie Fitzsimmons; grandchildren, Capri Pearson, Chantal Pearson, Corrie (Jason) Bird, Conner Fitzsimmons (Meredith); great-grandchild, Hadley Fitzsimmons; sisters, Arlene Topping, Linda White and brothers, Paul Rosenau and Robert Rosenau. While living in Hammond, IN she attended St. Paul Lutheran Church and was involved with the Walther League. She had been a volunteer at the Lutheran Home Gift Shop in Peoria. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she volunteered in many capacities. In their later years Hank and Lucy enjoyed traveling extensively in the United States. Cremation has been accorded and a private family graveside will be held at a later date.
