Obituary for Mabel Dixon
Mabel Francine Dixon, 79, of East Peoria passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at her residence. She was born July 9, 1934 in Chillicothe to Francis and Mabel Poignant Miller. She married Edward Dixon June 24, 1954 in Peoria; he preceded her in death May 7, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Clara Miller and sons, Dennis Dixon, Curtis Dixon and Timmy Dixon. She is survived by her sons, Walter Dixon, Richard Dixon, Terry Dixon; daughters, Jackie (John) Ashley, Loretta (Tim) Leaper; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She worked for Methodist Medical Center retiring in the 1980’s. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Pekin. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
