Obituary for Margaret Hoyland
Margaret Eleanor Hoyland, 79, of Laura passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Heartland Nursing Home in Canton. She was born in Peoria on November 15, 1934 to Roy and Celia Nave Sparks. She married Thomas C. Hoyland in Peoria on January 1, 1955. She is survived by her husband of Peoria Heights; daughters, Cheryl (John) Lucas of Canton, Karen (Richard) Jones of Peoria Heights, Debbie (Terry) Stein of Laura; sister, Betty May Bramlett of Peoria; grandchildren, Shawn (Hollie) Lucas of Canton, Mindy (Michael) Daniels of Laura, Sara (Shawn) Lucas of Canton, Paul Jones of Peoria, Dakotah Stein of Laura, Terry Stein of Laura, Caitie Roney of Lacrosse, WI, Justin (Alicia) Beech of Henderson, NY; great grandchildren, Shawn Jr., Cameron, Nathan, and Alyse all of Canton, Mattie, Olivia, Sofie and Kinsley of Laura, Tatum of Henderson, NV, Hailey, Austin, Kaiden and Makenna of Canton and Cooper of Henderson, NY. Her parents; 1 sister; 4 brothers; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren preceded her in death. Margaret was a lifetime member of DAVA and an avid Atari and Bingo player. She loved her family very much. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Memorials may be made in her name to the Diabetes Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.
