Obituary for Margaret Paxton
Margaret Ann Paxton 77, of Metamora passed away Saturday May 14, 2011 at her residence. She was born October 23, 1933 in Keokuk, IA to Tom and Alice Frier Hall. She married Charles Paxton in Oquawka, IL September 29, 1969. He preceded her in death in May 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 grandsons, and her brother; Gene Hall. She is survived by her children; Maurice Holdefer of IA, Sheri (Jim) Bresnaham of IA, Mary (Dale) Davidson of CO, Candy (Terry) Gerling of IA, Paula (Bill) Bess of OR, Tammy (Carl) Mace of IA, Millicent (Charles) Sanders of IL and Kim Tampia of CA. She is also survived by many wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Margaret worked for the ammunition plant in Burlington, IA, she was a commercial fisherman and she worked as a nurses aide for Besthesda retiring in 1996. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Burlington, IA where a Memorial Services will be held Saturday June 11, 2011 at 11 am. Pastor Don will officiate. Cremation has been accorded.
