Obituary for Marie Pye Wyss
Marie (Pye) Wyss 88, formally of Bartonville passed away Saturday May 3, 2008 at 6:15 a.m. at Fondulac Woods in East Peoria with family by her side. She was born April 11, 1920 in Bartonville to Warner and Mary Wick Pye. Her parents, two brothers, one sister and one niece preceded her in death. Surviving are two granddaughters; Kim (Ben) Pitzer of Washington, Jaimie (Howard) Underwood of Eureka, two grandsons; Chance (Amy) Barlow of Dunlap, Allen Barlow of Bartonville, five great grandchildren, the love of her life and wrestling buddy great grandson Britt Markum of Washington, two nephews and three nieces, ex-daughter-in-law and husband Sue (Jim) Barlow of Bartonville who helped care for her also survive. Graveside service will be held at Lutheran Cemetery on Thursday May 8, at 2 p.m., There will be no visitation. Family will accept friends at 702 Hatterman in Bartonville following the service. Memorials may be made to the family for an education fund for Britt. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
