Obituary for Marjorie Belcher
Marjorie Lee Belcher, age 94, of Lacon passed away peacefully at Manor Court in Peoria, Illinois on January 14, 2016. She was born on July 26, 1921 in Garden City, Missouri to Opal A and John D Kiefer. She married Ray Edward Belcher on October 3, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband and son, Mark. Surviving are three sons, Dennis (Kathy) Belcher of Dunlap, Gerald (Linda) Belcher of Peoria, Dale (Teresa) Belcher of Lacon and one daughter, Carolyn (Martin) Ziesman of Florida, ten grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother John Kiefer. Three sisters preceded her in death. Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois is in charge of arrangements. A celebration of Marjorie's life will be at Lacon Congregational United Church of Christ on Tuesday, January 19th at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lacon Congregational Church, where Marjorie was a member for many years.
