Martha L. Rogers 84, of 415 W. Sam J. Stone passed away on Thursday June 12, 2008 at her residence. Born on Dec 4, 1923 in New Castle, IN to Dale and Zell Davidson McClain. She married Richard H. Rogers on Oct 26, 1946; he preceded her in death on Oct 20, 1998. Also preceding was 1 grandson. Martha is survived by her children; Joyce Becker of Lakewood, CO, Kate Hummel of Birmingham, AL, Marsha Schulze of Dunlap, Richard Rogers of Peoria, Stephen Rogers of Clearwater, FL, sisters Mary Aberle and Phyllis Bloom both of Peoria, Pauline Hall of Lockport, brothers; Richard McClain of Schaumburg, Dale McClain of Bartonville, Paul McClain of Knoxville and her 10 grand and 6 great grandchildren. Martha was a Homemaker. Cremation has been accorded and services and burial at Swan Lake Cemetery will be a t a later date. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
