Martha L. Lewis 75, of Peoria passed away on Tuesday July 23, 2013 at the
home of her daughter. Born in Peoria on May 3, 1938 to George and Laura
Mellott Demmin. She married John P. Lewis on May 1, 1957, he preceded
her in death in 1988. Also proceeding her in death was her son John M.
Lewis, brother Karl Demmin and sister Karen Boland. Martha is survived by her daughters: Bonnie (Ed) Wilson and Rebecca Lewis both of Farmington, Janet Raistrick of Canton, Laura (Sam) Smith of Peoria, Carol (Donnie) Lowe of Bartonville, sister Florence Welsch of West Peoria, and her several grand and great grandchildren. She worked for Rogy’s Day Care in Peoria for 10 years, retiring in 1998 and was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Parkside Cognation, 1521 Park Rd Peoria, where a memorial service will be held on Tuesday July 30, at 1 p.m. with Elder William Pawson.
