Obituary for Marvin "Shorty" V. Martin III
Marvin “Shorty” V. Martin III, 50, of Peoria passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
He was born September 4, 1973, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria to Marvin V. and Kathy A. Savka Martin II.
He is survived by his parents; son, Chalin Martin; sisters, Pamela (Everette) Dobbs, Sherri Martin and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; uncle, Greg Martin; nephew, Breeshaun Davis and great-nephew, D’Kaufain.
Marvin graduated from Woodruff High School.
He enjoyed fishing and watching sports, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Abts Mortuary 905 S. 5th Street, Pekin, IL 61554. Cremation will be accorded following the service.
