Obituary for Mary Duncalf
Mary Elizabeth Duncalf, 55, of Lacon passed away on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at her home from end stage kidney failure. She was born in Galesburg on February 17, 1960 to Harvey Charles and Lila Mae Kirgan Brock. She married Ronald Wayne Duncalf; he survives along with her daughter, Katie (Don) Hoteling; step-daughters, Rhonda Duncalf, Brandy Duncalf, Sarah Stenger, Rachel Phelps; father, Harvey Brock; brothers, Chuck Brock and Brien (Eva) Brock; grandchildren, Zachery Osborne, Austin Hoteling, Hunter Hoteling, Jason Hoteling, Sean Hoteling, Eric Hoteling and great grandchildren, Maxwell, Felicity and Kyra Hoteling. Her mother and step-mother, Bernice Brock preceded her in death. Mary was a registered nurse. She attended Carl Sandburg College of Nursing in Galesburg, receiving her LPN Degree in 1984 and Black Hawk College in Moline, receiving her RN Degree December 20, 2005. She received the Daisy Award September 29, 2006 at St. Francis Oncology Hospital. She worked in geriatrics, clinical nursing and oncology for 28 years. Mary had her Clergy License. Cremation has been accorded and a Memorial service will be held on Saturday January 2nd at 11 a.m. at Foursquare Church, 289 Pearl St. Galesburg, IL.
