Peoria Heights - Mary Louise Harris 72, of Peoria Heights passed away on Monday November 12, 2007 at ManorCare Health Services in Peoria. Born to Howard “Andy” and Louise Davis Duncan in Galesburg on March 2, 1935. She is survived by her daughter Pamela O’Neal of Peoria Heights, step-son Elijah “Skip”(Stacy) O’Neal of Milwaukee, WI, her mother of Galesburg, sister Marjorie Morris of San Ramon, CA, brothers Howard “Sonny” (Avis) Duncan of Colorado Springs CO, Carlos (Juanita) Duncan Sr. of Galesburg, grandchildren Marie O’Neal of Milwaukee, WI, Mark O’Neal of Des Moines, IA, and great grandchildren Angelo McCaleb and Malaya Jones both of Milwaukee, WI. Her father, sister MarvaJean Duncan and infant son Mark A. O’Neal preceded her in death. Mary was a Clinical Therapist at the Children’s Center last working Aug 17, 2006. She attended Cedar Hills Baptist Church and was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Detroit, MI. She was a past member of the Order of Easter Star #18 in Galesburg, was an active Lay Organization member and a member of Missionary Society at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Detroit, MI and she belonged to the Pastor’s Chorus and Community Chorus.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 24, at Cedar Hills Baptist Church in Dunlap, Rev. Mike Belancourt will officiate with burial of cremains at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria following the service.
